Rebus puzzles are no longer available at this site. I have been threatened with legal action for violating copyright law. Although I have never heard of the copyright owner, his books, or his syndicated newspaper column, he claims the intellectual rights to these puzzles.
Many of these puzzles have been around since my youth. I remember solving them as fun assignments in grade school in the 1970's; I still have the purple mimeograph sheets of hand-drawn puzzles. Apparently the copyright owner took the initiative to claim ownership of them. Perhaps he also copyrighted all those knock-knock jokes we used to tell.
These puzzles were provided as a non-commercial service for teachers, scouts, and other not-for-profit organizations. Nevertheless, I consider myself an honest, law-abiding individual. Thus, I am complying with the order to remove the puzzles from my site. Sorry for any inconvenience or disappointment this may cause.
